Questions About Club 33

I did a search and found a lot of good info, but I didn't see the dress code posted anywhere. Our usual park attire is jeans or shorts, tees, and tennis shoes. Is that appropriate for lunch or will we feel terribly under-dressed? :confused3
Your standard "Mickey" tee can be frowned on. I have seen someone turned away for a tee and for a tank top. They do offer "loaner" shirts if deemed not up to standards. I don't risk it, and always wear a polo for a shirt if I am going.

So jealous! Enjoy your meal!

One day I hope to enjoy that place. I always take silly pics pretending to ring the buzzer or trying to sneak in every time I go! :rotfl:

We are going to Club 33 for the first time in December as well! We're going for lunch (Dinner wasn't available that week), and are totally excited!

Though we've heard the dress code is more casual for lunch, we're choosing to dress nicely. This is likely the only time we'll be able to go, so we're going all out! :thumbsup2

I know it's probably not in good taste to ask how much the souvenirs cost, but I'd like to know. I want to be sure to have enough cash to buy something to remember the visit.

I prefer lunch, just for the wonderful dessert bufffet! Lunch time has a more casual feel. But, even though lunch is more casual, I always dress nicer than normal park attire when dining at the Club. After all, you're dining at a very special place and representing the member that made the reservation for you. Club 33 deserves more than jeans and a t-shirt. :)

If you're looking for a nice romantic dinner with your hubby, pick dinner. It's fun to get dressed up and it's normally less crowded at dinner, at least when I've been there.

Either way, you're going to have a great time! Enjoy your magical experience!

Dec 7-9th will be members and accompanied guests only for dinner in conjuntion to the Candlelight Processional, and is completely booked. So, your only option will be lunch prior to 1pm, as the early dinner will start at 430p.
I was told that the restaurant would not be open for lunch on the Club 33 Candlelight dates (Dec 1, 2 , 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17) :headache:

I do know someone who has lunch on the 2nd, not in conjunction with Candlelight. I was under the impression they would not be opening for reservations until they had the Candlelight schedule set.

The restaurant is open on the 10th for lunch - that's when we are going. it may be that it's booked.

Covet, covet. A 30-something friend of ours was dating a guy whose family has had a Club 33 membership for several years. But they broke up. :rolleyes1 I think they should have at least waited til we had a chance to have dinner with them there. after all.

I've never been so I can't give you any tips but from reading posts it seems a lot of people get given reservations from out of the blue. Looks like there are some very generous Club 33 members making people's dreams come true. Have an amazing time! :cheer2:

I agree - so selfish of them!

There are indeed generous members. I hope to meet the member that made my dream a soon to be reality.

I have always been a believer in karma and paying it forward. There is just something to be said for a random act of kindness big or small. You just never know the impact...giving or receiving.

Just wanted to update to add that we did indeed get a lunch reservation for the Saturday during our trip. According to our generous sponsor, it was the last reservation time available. DH and I are so excited!

Are we allowed to take photos out on the verandah if it's open? I'd really love a picture of the two of us there. I'm guessing that a cast member would be willing to snap a shot for us?

Yes, but please watch for guests around you. The tables are placed by the doors going out, and I have many times witnessed people squeezing around people who are trying to eat their meals. If the tables by the doors are occupied, ask a server if there is an open door you can use to not disturb people.

That said, most of the 2 top tables are by doors, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Yes, you can take photos. When we were there last year, they let us take pictures of everything, inside and out! Ask for a tour and someone will happily tell you the history of 33 and the amazing artifacts there. Enjoy!
