Questions about Candlelight Processional Dinner at Epcot...

I think Disney should rename the package the Mystery Candlelight Processional Package because apparently the details are too secret to be published.

We are limited to what was told by a CM on a phone call. Consistency does not appear to be important. The details are all over the place and Disney has so little respect for those who want to pay good money to see the program that they wait to the last minute for booking and then only provide inconsistent, every changing details about the plan.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm frustrated.

Ok, here is what I don't understand.

A PP said that the advisor mentioned that there are Tiers. My question is, why are there tiers for different prices if they're all going to be worth 2 TS? You'd think they'd have the lower Tier for 1 TS (MAYBE Tier 2 as 1 TS), but the Tier 2 be 2 TS.

If they're going to offer certain restaurants at a lower price for people not on the DP, then the TS credits should be different, too.

Just my 2cents on this madness...

She told me it was 2TS and there was preferred seating for Illuminations based on the show you are seeing. Another words, one location for the first show, one for the second, and one for the 8:15pm show.

Hmmm... I wonder if for IllumiNations it's like "obstructed Norway ghetto view" for Tier 1 cuz you paid a mere $45/person, decent France or UK view for Seating 2, and amazing Italy view for the 8:15pm show because it's right next to the theater... :scratchin

:rotfl2:

And the CM told me that there was no reserved area for Illuminations!
I wish they would get their stories straight. It's an awful lot of money for the Biergarten. :headache:

:lmao:

What the CM said though, was not that the location was not based on the restaurant but on the show time. No matter where you eat for the 8:15pm show you will all be in the same place for example.
This particular CM seemed very knowledgeable (after a while you can tell who is giving good info and who is winging it!), but who knows if the info she is given is final. The reason she brought it up was because she saw I was able to book the CP based on 90+10 and had the memo in front of her. I wish I had more time to ask her about the fixed menus, but I had to run.
I still can't believe they are taking bookings without releasing any formal info. Once I heard about the package being 2TS, I had no interest in going.

:rotfl: Sounds reasonable!!!

Oh Doug! Vent away! I am doing the same thing here!

The tier thing was evidently kept in place for the people paying out of pocket. Last year the people who paid out of pocket got an appetizer and the people on the dining plan did not.

I have gotten confirmation of the 2 TS part but still nothing on the set menu part of this or the Illuminations viewing part.:confused3

On the Illuminations viewing, if they are doing it by show times then there had better be three very large places to accommodate that many people. How many people does that theater hold anyway?

I was told that the CP package for the first two show times will be lunches and only the last show time will include a dinner. That is also a change from last year when only the first show was lunch!

I just do not think it is right to charge 2 TS when you can eat at the same places, actually get a better more varied meal (if the set menu rumor is true), and see the same show by getting in a stand by line. Just makes no sense to me.

Now if they eliminated the stand by line and told you that you have to have tickets for the show and then included at least the full menu and an appetizer then I think I would agree to this change; but they way they have it now, I just can not see why we should give up a dinner for a free ticket!:confused3

I am sadly disappointed in the entire way this is being handled this year. The lack of information at this point and time is literally appalling!:(

When I called for prices, I was told the lunch price for the 5:00 show, and the dinner price for the 2 later shows.

Most of the CM's have seemed to be unaware of any changes for this year, and just want to quote info from the past. It's only after being insistent on my part that they search this out in their system. You can tell that they're reading what's on their screen, and they're very surprised at what they are actually reading. It's bad enough that Disney hasn't made an announcement to the public, but the fact that they haven't provided this info up front to the CM's....makes no sense.

Ok, I didn't read every post in this thread so I might be restating, but...

There is info on StitchKingdom about the new CPP. I've accepted that they've increased the prices and made it 2TS. My hubby is not willing to use 2TS for a 1TS restaurant even with the added appetizer & preferred seating to both shows.

My question now is... how hard do you think it'll be to get into the CP without the package. And also, does anyone know which day/time slot might be the least crowded?

I would also like to know this??
How long does the show run? :confused3
I assume it will be easier to get in stand-by for the 5:00 or 6:45 show as opposed to the 8:15 show? Just guessing...

I'm thinking of waiting stand-by for the 5:00pm show and then get a later 1TS ADR at Tutto...

I have called a few times over the last two days. The 1st CM told me that all restaurants are 1 TS for DDP across the board. Both times today, the CM's told me that it depends on the restaurant as to how many TS credits it will be for the DDP. They said that some changes are happening and they won't know until next week which restaurants are 2TS and which are 1 TS. Sounds like no one really knows for sure:confused3 I have decided to give CP up this year. :sad2:

Pretty shameful for Disney to have so much misinformation and confusion about this... You would think the would be an official press release by now with ALL the accurate details. Surprising.

I hope this isn't an indication of the quality of service that we can expect at WDW!! :sad2:

I called today and they said that you can book this online-but the online message said to call-same thing with Fantasmic...Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

CP is very popular. If less guests use the DDP credits for the package, it sounds reasonable the stand by admittance and gathering outside the seating area will increase quite a bit.
I think the CP will turn into us saying the same about CP as Fantasmic -- if this is a must do for you, then book using the DDP credits. Otherwise be prepared to wait extra long (and possibly not be seated).
Weather will be dependent on how large the stand by crowds will be.
We were never willing to do CP as they did not accept the DDE (now TiW). And we were not willing to pay full price for meals normally discounted.

Regardless of what some Cms have said...Thus far there have been posters who have booked it and it has been 2 ts pp.Now grantted the restaurant choices that the posters picked were Tier 2 and 3 places.Maybe tiers 2 and 3 are 2 ts credits and Tier 1 will be 1 TS.But people have booked using the 90+10 .

We booked this morning Biergarten (for the kids) Tier 1. We were told it is also 2 TS credits.
