Our waitlist for our first DVC trip just came through but now I have a few questions:

1) Does anyone know the height requirement for the slide at BWV. My son is 44 inches tall and I want to prepare him in advance if he can't use it.

2) Is there any bus transportation from BWV to Epcot and Hollywood Studios?

3) How many minutes is the approximate walk (I know it will vary based on room location) to Epcot main entrance and Hollywood Studios?

Thanks in advance for your answers!!!

1) not sure, iirc I do believe I've seen kids approx 44 inches using slide

2) no, transportation is via walkway to Epcot's International Gateway (World Showcase entrance ) or via FriendShips to International Gateway.

Same of HS; walk or via FriendShips

3) HS is slightly closer but much depends on where in BWV villa is located and if you decide to use a stairway instead of elevators to lobby - approx 10 minutes; approx 10 - 15 minutes to Epcot but you are not walking to Main Entrance of Epcot - the walkway is to International Gateway as mentioned above.

:goodvibes

The boats are great transportation.:rotfl: I think Epcot is closer then the walk to HS. 5-10 minutes for Epcot. HS is about a 15-20 walk...

No height limit on the slide - and little kids use it, some of them wearing life jackets - its a great slide.

No bus transportation to DHS or Epcot. Transportation via boat or foot to Epcot BACK ENTRANCE (International Gateway) Only! This is really important if you don't have hoppers and think you are going to make time by taking the bus from say, MK to Epcot and then getting the BWV.

Epcot walk is pretty short - we don't take the boat unless we are really tired - even if its right there (end of the night will often find us on the boat). Studios is the opposite, we don't walk unless we have lots of energy and the boat just left.

So if you want to walk to Epcot to the FRONT entrance is it possible? Do you enter at the back and walk all the way around (seems like that would take forever) or is there a way to get to the front. Having not done it I just can't picture it.

We needed to get to the front entrance of EPCOT before the park opened for the day because the meet for an early tour we planned to take was just outside the main entrance.

We walked to the IG entrance and told the CM there about our tour. We had our confirmation number (and they had us on a list). We were allowed through the IG turnstiles and walked through World Showcase and then Future World and out the main entrance. It's a bit of a walk - took us about 10 minutes and we are fast walkers.

The IG opens at the same time as the main entrance. There are very few reasons to need to be at the main entrance before park opening. Even though WS doesn't normally open until 11 am, those guests who enter through the IG are permitted to walk through the WS (past England and Canada pavilions) to get to Future World. It's a bit farther than from the main entrance, but only a few guests who come from the main entrance "beat" us to Soarin' . :)

It's better to take the bus to the MK than to walk through EPCOT and take the monorail if you are in a hurry to get to the MK. It's a nice ride though, so sometimes we take the monorail to EPCOT from the MK and then walk through the park to the IG exit. From there it's a short walk or boat ride to the BCV and BWV. We have hopper tickets or APs so it's not a problem. You need to use a ticket to walk thorugh the park.

More than you wanted to know and probably not much you already didn't. Hope it helps.

No, you cannot walk to the front entrance on foot. If you get "stuck" at the front entrance of Epcot, you'll be taking a bus to somewhere else (the Studios would be a good bet) and then getting to the Boardwalk from there.

You cannot walk to the front gate of Epcot. The International Gateway, walking distance from BWV, will bring you into the park between France and Great Britian. I never realized it was there until we stayed at BCV either. If you enter before the countries are really open, there is a rope up to your right and you just walk through Great Britian and Canada (nothing is open)and then you can enjoy Future World.

If you do have Park Hoppers or AP's, the best part about staying at an Epcot resort is evenings there at your fingertips. Dessert from another country? No problem! Snacks from your favorite country? Many are right there. Illuminations every night! Might be from your room (ours had a view) but if not, many places around the walkways and beaches can see it enough to feel like you've seen it.

So fun! Enjoy your visit!

You can not go through IG unless you show proff of a confrimation number for your tour. It is really cool walking through when you are among only CM.
