Hi, just wondering if anyone has any info on these rooms. They sound great. Where are they located?? What is the view? I have never stayed at the BWI, but the place looks huge. Are they closer to MGM or Epcot??? Are they a hike to the concierge lounge and pool area??? Anyone have opinions about the BWI - love it/hate it?

Also - this is a biggie - has anyone ever been able to get an annual pass discount on this room type??? I know suites are not normally discounted, but I thought a while ago I read that these were sometimes discounted.

Thanks for any info!!

They are located near the quiet pool of the BW Inn. The view would be of that pool or the interior rose gardens. They are no closer to Epcot or MGM than the Boardwalk Inn. To get to the parks you have to leave your suite go back in the main building, exit the main building to the Boardwalk then go to the parks. They are not close to the lounge as the lounge is in the main building on a upper floor. Again to access the lounge you would go out your suite door and in the main building, up the elevator to the lounge, not very convenient and a pain in the rain. To get to the main pool you would have to repeat the process.

They are adorably cute but for the price I would prefer a deluxe concierge room in the Inn, near the lounge and with a view.

I have never seen a discount for them, but anything is possible. There is only one king bed and a sofa bed.

The one thing I noticed about them when I saw them(never stayed in one) was they had a little fenced-in yard area. There was a young family staying in one while we were there (we had to walk by their suite to get to where we needed to go based on our location) and they had a couple of toddlers who seemed to be able to blow off a lot of steam in that fenced in area.

Stayed there in December and we were not impressed. While there was a lot of space, the suite is really suited for couples. The king bed is up a flight of stairs as is the tub/shower. The sleeper couch is on the main floor right inside the entrance door. Our particluar suite was in real need of a refurbishment - things were pretty worn. We also found the distance to the lounge kind of inconvenient. Our biggest problem however - and this is hopefully not common - is that our suite backed up to Spoodles and they powerwash their cooking vent/duct system between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. It happened 2 of our 3 nights - we asked to be moved to the GF RPC after the 2nd night of no sleep. I agree with the poster who said they'd rather stay in a deluke room near the lounge - that would be my recommendation.

I agree. We've never stayed in one, as we prefer the deluxe concierge room, but we did tour both types of Garden Suites (with and without balcony). We weren't thrilled with the view, nor the location. They're very pretty, but you can't beat the deluxe concierge for location and the boardwalk view.

We stayed in a garden suite for part of our honeymoon, and we loved it. I would have to agree that it is much better suited for a couple than for a family. We loved the two-story layout, and enjoyed the room features like the huge Jacuzzi tub and the large shower. Plus, it was nice to have two toilets, LOL! The garden suites are really charming. The only minor drawback to us was the walk to the concierge lounge. It wasn’t a major drawback, just a minor inconvenience. However, we like the charming appeal of the cottages, so we prefer these rooms to standard concierge rooms at the BWI. We were able to get an annual passholder’s discount on the garden suite too. Honestly, we hope to return to a garden suite as soon as the budget allows. Here is a link to our pictures, so you can see what the room was like.

We too stayed there during our wedding and we also stayed there when we got engaged. 1205 is our favorite room that we've ever stayed in at Disney. We don't mind the short walk back into the hotel to get to the concierge lounge. I think these suites are great for couples looking for romance as they are very private. The first time we stayed there it was value season and we got a fantastic AP rate.

Do you know if all the Deluxe Concierge rooms have Boardwalk/Water views? CRO said they offered parking and/or garden views. :confused3

Also, are the Deluxe Concierge rooms close to the lounge? Thanks! :earsboy:

All of the deluxe concierge rooms have a BW view. There are a few rooms on the third floor that are obviously farther away from the lounge, which is on the fourth floor. The concierge floor is rather compact at the BWI, so all of the deluxe concierge rooms are in close proximity to the lounge.

ead79 - THANKS for the pics! Wow - the garden suite looks lovely. I appreciate seeing it.

Thanks for all the replies and info, everyone!
