Too save a couple of $ I'm planning on bringing cereal and eating it in the hotel each morning as we get ready. We do have the DDP but the snack doesn't do it for breakfast.
  1. Where can I buy milk?
  2. Does POP have a fridge in the room?
  3. Is food allowed on luggage?

I do not know if POP has friges or not, however, as far as the transportation of your food you could box if and mail it to your room or you can go on line and order what you want and them deliver it your room. You can check it out on www.allearsnet.com.

You can rent a fridge for $10 a day, or if you have a medical issue you can get a small one for free for your stay. Because both kids need daily meds our fridge will be free. Thank you POP!! Yes food is allowed on the plane. We are taking the auto train so we will have our car. I have already packed cereal and bowls for the days we just want something easy.

If you don't get a fridge you can buy a soft small cooler that would fold down and fit in your suit case, just get ice at the hotel ice machine. Word of advice put a plastic bag in the cooler before the ice, soft sided coolers tend to leak. I also put it in the bathtub to catch any water. I do this trick when we stay in a hotel without a fridge.

If you check out the dining forums there is a list of "approved" snacks at different resorts. It looks like most of them allow 1/2 gallon milk as a snack. If not, at least you know you can get it at Pop.

I ditto the remark about taking a cooler and using ice. Just be sure to protect it like holly said. We didn't do that and had to put up with wet floors all week. :sad2:

:confused3 who knew that would happen with the cooler right? We came back from being out all day and the carpet was soaked. We thought the toliet had overflowed.:rotfl: We learned our lesson thats for sure.:)

Going with my 7 yr old boy girl twins in May. On th DDp but my son need his breakfast asap! Last time rented a fridge and the floor was wet from the fridge making the room damp at Carribean beach resort. This time staying at the movies. It is a great idea to bring the soft cooler. I love it! Thanks for the tip!

I know what you mean about boys needing to eat right away. As they get older it dosen't get better. DS is almost 10 and needs to eat right away and then when we all eat an hour later or so he's ready again. The boy is stick thin too!

We brought cereal and snacks in our checked luggage packed in Tupperware so it wouldn't get smushed. We had breakfast most mornings in the room, saved on money and time!!! I also brought disposable bowls and spoons for the cereal!! It worked really slick. We had a fridge in our room at POP, (my dad is on insulin), and we just bought milk and juice at the food court.

We brought a box of cereal bars and a box of granola bars and ate as we were literally walking out the door. We like the Sunbelt brand because they are less expensive (under $2 a box) and tasty and convenient. The kids had them finished on the walk to the bus stop. We all drank a bottled water with breakfast to keep hydrated.

We found this was easiest because: we had to get the kids up earlier than they are used to, so this was quick and we ate lunch earlier at WDW than usual, so the light breakfast was enough to hold us over as we are not big breakfast eaters anyway.

Just another idea.

we brought some "lil milk" they are juice box size and do not require a fridge. you coul,d put one in your ice bucket the night before so it would be cold in the morning

On the Dining plan, 1 snack credit can be used to buy an entire bag of bagels, box of donuts, or loaf of bread at the store in the hotel. We used our refillable mugs for coffee and apple juice or hot chocolate and bagels with peanut butter and were good to go. At the Beach Club store, there is a small area to get sandwiches etc....so when we bought the bagels, the clerk told us to help ourselves to the small pkt's of peanut butter and cream cheese. We did most of our breakfasts like this. There was so much food on the plan, that no one missed the few snack credits that we used. Enjoy!

I was planning on ordering from amazon and having them mail a box of food to my hotel (I'm staying off-site). They say they have refrig's available. I have to call them and see if I can get it

there are two POP fridge swaps on the budget board or disney for families you can check to see if your dates are available.
