Questions about Boardwalk Villa Studios

Does anyone know if there are toasters in the Boardwalk Villa Studios?

Also from what I have read some of the studios have a small day bed in them as well as the queen bed and the sofa sleeper. Can you request a room with the small day bed? Has anyone ever stayed in a studio with the daybed and was it really crowded?

they have toaster.

no the studio you are talking about was called 'dedicated pluses' - while you can still request dedicated studio - you can't request the pluses.

disney took them away from request a couple of years ago - think so Disney can have the option to rent these to families of 5. (my opinion)

it has a queen bed, double sleeper sofa and what they called a day bed - it was really a luggage thing (like they have in AKV) - it was small (so you are talking child 5' or less) and not very comfortable - it was hard.

The "daybed" in the Studio Plus is like a deacon's bench with an upholstered pad on it. Maybe about crib sized. We got one of the rooms several years ago when our son was five and he hated it. The "daybed" was located where the door would have been if it connected to a one bedroom to make a two bedroom villa.

These are not guaranteed anymore and are only the luck of the draw. Even dedicated studios are only a request and not guaranteed.

But, yes, all studios do have a toaster.

Someone just measured it (you can count on DISers to be geeks - some of them with sewing kits handy) - 60 inches long (5 ft), and 24 inches wide. The width is - in my opinion - a bigger deal for kids than the length - a lot of kids can sleep on a five foot long bed - but 24 inches does not give you a lot of room.

Our SV room the first week of October this year was a dedicated one with the little daybed.

It was just DH and me so we did not need it (or the sofa for that matter) but I found it useful for putting stuff on since you don't have a coffee table in the studio.

It was especially useful for sitting on to put on my shoes, for some odd reason more comfortable than the sofa for this purpose.

Good room. . . first floor, short walk, right across from the door to the pool and hot tub.

We used the hot tub more this trip than any other, proximity is a great thing.
