We will be heading down to Disney shortly to celebrate DDs birthdays. One turns 4 and three days later the other turns 7. I have dinners scheduled at 1900 Park Fare for little one and Akershus for the older one. I was curious what each restaurant might do for birthday celebrations. I know each girl will feel special being at Disney and having a special meal with the Princesses. I don't really want to order big expensive cakes because the trip in itself is quite an expense, but I don't want one girl feeling left out because one got a cupcake and the other didn't. I am just trying to prepare myself for what could happen at each restaurant so I can plan accordingly. Thank you!!

Unfortunately there is no way to know if or what they will do , or if one does something and the other does not. It depends on the Cm,time of day , and if they feel like doing it. If it is really important to you I would get a small cake or something for both of them. You simply can not rely on Disney to do anything. They may give both girls a cupcake, one may give and the other may not, or they might not acknowledge it at all.

We were at 1900 Park Fare for dinner during my DS's birthday trip in January. They brought him out a king's crown in celebration of his special day, and gave him a birthday cupcake at the end of the meal (we had the most thoughtful server who put the cupcake in a take-out container so he could indulge in the dessert buffet and still have his cake for later :thumbsup2).

I agree with the PP poster, though.....nothing is guaranteed. Some places made a very big deal about DS's birthday, others not so much (or not at all). If its really important that something be done, be sure to put it in place yourself (ie purchasing your own cake, etc.) so that no one is dissapointed.

Happy birthday to your DDs! :)

Thanks for the information. I have seen posts about things they do at 1900 Park, but haven't seen much for Akershus. So, I was a bit worried that my seven year old would feel left out. Since her actual birthday is the day we are going to Akerhus and 3 days after her sister's. I guess I will need to talk to DH about what to do and try and plan something ahead.
