I am thinking about renting points and going with my DW, DD, DMIL, and DBIL and get a 2-bedroom at the BCV.
My first question is what view is the best, I was thinking Epcot view, how is it? Where are the best views of Epcot, top floor I suppose? Any pics would be great.
Is there a balcony off the master bedroom?
Are they all two bedrooms or a one bedroom with a studio combo, and is one better than the other?
How far are the buses from the villas?
And lastly regarding renting points, when the DVC owner books the reservation do I then have control over it or would I need to go through him/her to do things like request villa location, get the dinning plan or anything else regarding my reservation? Oh yeah, and how far in advance could I rent points from some one?

...sorry for all the questions, if any one can answer them all you are the DVC master! :yoda:

dannydisneyfreak, if you want to see lots of pics i suggest you check out the photography board...also DAN MURPHY has the best pics on the board..look at one of his post and you'll be sure to find the pics you want to see.

There are no great views at BCV so don't get too uptight about it. Epcot view (MS no longer accepts this request) is nice for the fireworks but you may get a nice view of Epcot Resorts Blvd as well. There are also pool view, courtyard view and woods view. All have advantages and disadvantages. I agree with happy haunt - go look at DisZips web page on BCV it's great!

There may or maynot be a balcony off the master bedroom. There are three types of 2 bedroom units that may be reserved with MS. They are...
2 bedroom lock-off, which is a 1 bedroom and studio combined with an adjoining door
2 bedroom dedicated with a Queen and full sleeper sofa in the second bedroom
2 bedroom dedicated with 2 queens in the second bedroom.
The dedicated unit have one door to the hall and no kitchenette in the second bedroom leaving more space and more closet. Different units are better for different family situations. Perhaps a Lockoff would be good for you since the IL's are coming? ;)

Not bad.

The owner has control over your reservation and should make most of the arrangements for you. I have heard of MS accepting calls to verify the reservation. Someone with more experience can add to that, there might be reason to call due to ME or the dinning plan. :confused3
An owner can make a reservation at their home resort 11 months from the checkout day (a reservation can also be made day-by-day for extremely popular times/units). An owner can make a reservation at any DVC resort 7 months from the checkout day (also can be done day-by-day). There is a waitlist if the unit/resort you want is not available.

BCV is great! I hope things work out for your family trip.

If you do get a view of Epcot, it will mostly be the back of the building that houses Soarin'. We enjoy the pool view best. It's real pretty at night with all the lights on top of the buildings.

The owner will maintain control over the reservation until you check into the villa. They will need to make all requests from Member Services for you. You'll need to tell them ahead of time that you want the dining plan and you will pay for it when you check in.

The sooner you get with an owner at BCV, the better it will be for you. You may need that 11 month advantage many times throughout the year, especially during summer months, October for Food & Wine/Halloween or other holidays.
