Questions about baseball tickets (2006)

Does anyone know what the earliest I would be able to purchase tickets for a June 2006 game? My DS is a HUGE NY Yankee fan and they will be in DC against the Nationals in June, however, tickets aren't on sale yet. I would love to get him some really great seats for his 10th birthday, but can not find out when tickets will be on sale. Any ideas?

Keep on the Nats site = they will let you know when Tix go on sale but really - tell your husband to be a HUGE NY Mets fan! Much better on the Queens side of town!

While I certainly cannot condone your DS's Yankee fandom (Proud member of Red Sox nation here ). I do know that I get emailed from the Sox letting us know about on sale dates, etc. I would hit both the Yankees and the Nats websites, and sign up, that way you'll know for sure.

I grew up watching the Yankees with my dad and passed that love on to my son. DH was a die hard Mets fan when I met him 20 years ago, but when DS came along and started preferring the Yankees DH abandoned ship and switch over to the Yanks.

I think tickets usually go on sale around the end of February or the first part of March, atleast for the Orioles, I've not been to a Nationals game yet.

Like others have suggested, go to www.mlb.com, there is a drop down box, pick Nationals, and sign up for emails. You'll know when they are available. Different teams start selling tickets on different dates. If it's a game in DC, it'll be when the Nats start selling tickets.

I saw the Mets play the Nationals at RFK this past Sept. Interesting stadium. I know it was hard to get seats there last year, so make sure you know the first day tickets go on sale.

Better get them right away.
They always sell out here in Baltimore due to the short drive and nice area around the Park here.
