Questions about Airtran Website

Hi everyone. I have been checking airfare several times per day for February on the Southwest, Jetblue and Air Tran websites. I've noticed that Air Tran fares change almost hourly. Has anyone else noticed that? And, iif I search for one person, the airfare goes down compared to searching for 4 people. Does that mean there aren't 4 seat available at that price? Would I have to book the seats one at a time and hope they have 4, or would it be a better idea to call them to book in order to make sure there are 4 at that price? Thanks

I personally have never noticed that...but it is not to say that a ticket at a certain price point doesn't become available.

1 vs another #(lets say 4) means that there is not 4 tickets available at the lower rate, so it automatically bumps your reservation to the higher amount. So you might want to check 2 or 3 and see just how many tickets are available and that if splitting your reservation is ok with you....there is a slight risk with that, but there are many factors that would decided if it were at all applicable to you.
Good Luck

I think airtran is having issues with their site, when I went looking for April rates it only shows non stop and only one price from Moline, I know they fly several flights out of there, I have tried several months clear through Sept and same thing happens or it says no flights to one or both areas.

Is it possible that the connecting part is sold out? I am going to look . OK...everything looks normal to me. Maybe it wasn't working right earlier. Airtrain's schedule is only open until July 9th, so that's why you can't book in Sept. I saw atleast 10 flights per day conecting and NS. What are your travel dates and how many do you need tickets for?

I have found good rates on Airtran for 6 by checking on Sundays. Usually late afternoon or evening. Check all of your surrounding airports too. I booked Indy to Orlando for January $50 each way back in November.

I had that problem when I took my 2 granddaughters to WDW 3 yrs ago.
I could only get 2 seats at the discounted rate and even after calling the airline direct they wouldn't sell me the third seat at the discount rate. It was either pay almost $600 for the third seat or change my leave date by 1 day to get all 3 at discount. I'll bet you'll guess what I choose!!:rolleyes1
