We are late sleepers, so early to us is getting up before 8 on vacation but we do want to keep DS on a decent schedule of early to bed early to rise at the World. That said, I was wondering if planning an 8:00 breakfast would allow us to be in the parks early enough to get a good start on the rides/attractions?

We are planning on being in the parks from around 9 am - 2 pm each day, so I was thinking 8 would be decent. That said, if 8:30 would still be okay I'll book them for that instead.

Thank you for your input!

i'm going trough the same thing right now my 180 mark is monday and i don't know what times to make them for! i'm scared im going to make them to early or to late. would it be wrong to make some extra adrs just in case?

IMO YES it would be wrong!! By doing this you are denying another family the opportunity to book an ADR that they know they want.

I agree with Hopefully. I think it's very inconsiderate to make multiple reservations just because you can't make up your mind.
Concerning your question about breakfast times part of what you should consider is what time the park is scheduled to open. For a 9:00 opening an 8:00 breakfast would work if you're eating in our near the park. 8:30 could also work if it's not a busy time of year. Anything later than that may mean that you will be spending more times in lines once you get to the parks. If you will not be returning to the parks after 2:00 your time will be limited.

ADR pre-rope drop in parks are a great experience! You get to see the park B4 everyone arrives. Plan for 8 AM or a little earlier so you can make RD.

OR Grab something quick, do rope drop and plan for a late breakfast /early lunch, in the 11AM - 12 noon time frame. If you do the later, you can leave the parks after lunch or catch a few rides w/ FastPasses after eating.

Thank you, this was very helpful! Is there somewhere I can look to see what time rope drop is for the parks?

Ask yourself this question; if your family was denied an opportunity to book an ADR because someone booked "extra" ADRs....would you be upset??

I'm guessing the answer would be yes....so I would advise against it.

Hi I agree with all,:guilty: it would be unfair to take an ADR that others might want, if all done that, where would we be. As an aside if you eat early then go to rope drop in MK is the view as good from the back:)

It depends on the kind of ADR's you want. If you plan on a character meal buffet for breakfast it will take you 1-1 1/2 hours so if you want to be at the parks at opening 8am won't get you there. If you planning a non character meal for breakfast most TS will still take at least 45 minutes. A lot depends on what time of the year you are traveling and how busy the parks will be. Obviously if you want to get to TSM at DHS for a ride you would need to be eating somewhere earlier than 8am. On the other hand if you are not really interested in riding the bigger/more popular rides arriving at rope drop does not make as much of a difference. Another option would be to make in park reservations for later in the morning. You can do rope drop and a couple of rides before eating and if you choose to get up late then you can skip the rides and just eat first.

I hadn't even considered getting to the parks early to hit some of the bigger rides, and then going to breakfast. Thanks for the great suggestion!!

This is what we do. Use a snack credit on the way out of the hotel for a light, fast breakfast, get to a park 10 minutes before it opens, and have an early lunch at 11:30 with fastpasses in hand for anything we haven't been on yet. We're back for swim by 1 or 2 usually. Works out nicely!
