Some people mention going early (8AM or whatever) then leaving and taking a break around noon and coming back later the afternoon. Do you still count this as being at the park a full day?

To me I interpret full day as meaning you get to park at opening and leave when they close - no leaving the park and coming back.

When I think 1/2 day I think you stayed there half the time the park was open that day. Some people think 1/2 day is just until noon, but a 1/2 day at MK to me I interpret as 9AM to 3PM (say if it's open from 9-9 that day).

Just curious.. :)

Most people refer to half day when they plan two activities/park in one day.

Example1: Morning in MK and afternoon in Epcot.
Example2: Morning in AK and afternoon at resort soakin' up the sun. :goodvibes

1/2days to me mean 9am-1pm
or 4pm-8pm
Guess they're really not 1/2 days

We hit the park first thing and stay til about 2:30-3pm then return to the resort to rest, freshen up and dress for dinner. For us, we say we did that day at whatever park.... and then went to dinner.

This is what I always think of.

I don't think i've EVER stayed in the same park all day from open to close- I have to go back to the hotel to re-charge before going out again.

Ok because this whole time I think of whole day meaning from opening until closing.

So when people say it takes 1 1/2 days to get through Epcot (for example) I'm thinking 12 hours one day and 6 another day = 18 hours in the park. :earseek:

So I guess when some says 1 day they might have only been there for 8 hours... I guess I need to realize that. :earsboy:

For EPCOT, we're usually there at 7:15 to 7:30. (That's at times when I have to accomplish something) Do the left side of Epcot from 8 to 9 or so, (we don't do Mission Space), hit Spaceship Earth somewhere around 9 ish then when the right side opens at about 9 we head over to the Land, then to Honey I Shrunk the Audience (we don't do Living Seas, kind of boring right now). We're pretty much done in future world by the time World Showcase opens.

Then we wander, eat lunch in Norway and leave there probably about 2 - 2:30 ish. Go back to the resort for a break, (which lately is the handy Boardwalk) then on the night we go to Illuminations, we wander through more of the World Showcase. We'll probably go to WS more than that even cuz we do like to wander around there, but that's pretty typical. Keep in mind we only do our favorite shows and rides.

MK was open 7 AM-midnight everyday this past trip (and on my b-day it was open 7 AM-3 AM, woohoo, if only I were younger and without the kids).

We did "half-days" at MK = 7:30 AM-Noonish, which was definitely not half of the 17 hours it was open, but it felt like just right with 2 kids and DH in tow.

We'd then relax at the hotel and most times go to another park later.

One of the other days (Easter Sunday), we were at Epcot from 10-5 but I still considered that a "half-day", albeit longer.

My definition of full-day would probably by something like 9-9, and include 2 meals, or even 7:30-Noon and returning 4-10 or something like that.

This is an interesting thread!!:wizard:
