On our 2 previous trips to WDW, we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge with a courtyard view and loved it. But we are now a family of 5 - me, wife, DS (9), DS (6), and DD (2). We can't stay in a regular room, so we are looking into the possibility of renting DVC points.

My question is...we loved the courtyard view we had. We could see the guyser and the Electric Water Parade. What "views" do the Villas offer? Would we be able to see the Electric Water Parade from the Balcony? What about the guyser? Is it visible from any of the Villa rooms?

Thanks for any help.

The views from the villas are all categorized as "Woods" view. Some may have a glimpse of the neighborhood pool or the lake (thru the trees), but none will have a view of the courtyard, main pool or geyser. Some look thru the trees towards the bus stop. The theme for the villas predates the WL theme and the views match that theming. The theme is that of a hotel built/used as the railroads pushed their way west during construction.

The villas are wonderful with great amenities and guests there still have access to the main WL lobby, restaurants and activites.

Enjoy!

Doc,

I thought I read somewhere that there was a model train at the villas at WL? Is that true?

We'll be travellig later this year with a 4 year old train nut, and I'm wondering how much the train theme has been incorporated into the VWL.

Thanks!

At the Wilderness Lodge Villas, the views are limited: some overlook the Villas pool, but most are of woods.

The "model train" is one car, encased in glass, from the little train that used to run in Walt Disney's backyard. You may have seen of films of him riding around on it, with guests sitting on top of the cars. I say ON because it was rather small scale, but larger than what we call a model train.

When we were at the VWL this past December we had a 1 bedroom villa, #3511 I believe, and we had a great view of the EWP every night from our balcony. Unfortunately, I don't believe you can see the geyser from any of the villas. Our villa overlooked the villas pool and was nice and peaceful. You will really enjoy the extra space in the villas and with a 1 or 2 bedroom the washer and dryer and whirlpool tub are great extras.

Have a great time!
