Question Regarding LATE Check In

I'd really like to get your thoughts on this. First, can I drop off my carry on luggage WITHOUT checking in to CSR (because I'll have an AP voucher instead of the actual AP)? Also, if we return to CSR around 4:00 a.m. because we were at MK for late EMH, are the chances greater that I'll end up in the "Rancheros" section (far from everything)?

Why not just checkin? You can checkin with just the voucher (if that's what you're concerned about). I would checkin, then drop the bags with Bell Services. I just like to get checked in asap...then start having fun.
If you checkin when you arrive, you may get a room right away. If it isn't to your liking, then you can always ask to wait for another room to become available. That might not be possible if you wait until late afternoon to checkin.

I would LOVE to just check in, however, I heard some CMs will allow you to check in with a Voucher and others will not. Do you think I'll be able to check in upon arrival?

Sorry...I forgot to mention we won't arrive at CSR until around 7:00pm. If we go to MK for late EMH, then we won’t arrive until around 4:00am.

Good point...thanks so much for bringing that to my attention. There's just sooo much to think about.

You will be allowed to check in with just the voucher. However, the key is whether or not the discount gets applied right then and there. Some Cast Members will not apply that discount and will make you come back with the valid Annual Pass. But that is not big deal either. Once you show that valid pass, the discount will be applied for the entire stay.

So, check in, get your room key (your room should be ready by that time anyway), leave your stuff, and go off for your fun. When you return at 4:00 AM, go to your room for sleep. If the discount has been applied, you don't have to do anything more. If it hasn't, just go to the front desk anytime the next day with the valid pass. Or really, any time during your stay.

BTW - Ranchos ain't that bad.
