I went to the Universal Studios website and tried to book a room at RPR on 07-25 and it said they were sold out. I then called the hotel directly and they advised me on the phone that they only had a King Suites left for $324.00 night. I then saw a couple of people on here booked with Hotel Kingdom.com without any incidents. I went to their website and low and behold they had avaialbility for 07-25. (standard room $224.00) I booked a room through them and they only charged a downpayment of $26.00 now with the remaining due at check-in.

Has anyone ever seen this before? I hope it's not a screw up on HotelKingdom's end as I already booked my other ressies around this. Also, I did get my Instant Confirmation email from them confirming the date. Thanks for any input.

We have used HK before without any problems. Yes, they only charged a small deposit. The confirmation said the hotel would also charge a deposit of 1 night hotel rate, but they never did before we checked in. Sounds like you're all set!! :cool1:

Thanx...I hope so as we really liked the looks of the hotel and the reviews on here. Can't wait till July!

brashy, I found this on hotelkingdom's website thought it may be helpful.

Down payment: At the time of reservation a Downpayment of 10 to 18% per room per night will be charged on your credit card. This Downpayment will be deducted from your Room Rent. This resort also charges a second downpayment upon confirmation of one room night plus tax. Guest will pay the total rent plus tax for all remaining room nights directly to the hotel at check-out.

Please note: The Hotel's computers at the front desk will only show the amount of the remaining balance due plus tax. The screen will not show your Downpayment. This is to avoid any overcharging or double charging of your Downpayment by front desk staff.

They also list cancellation policy.

Ok, I see. Well, I wonder how there gonna due this as I only booked one night. So if HK charged the 10-18% initially then RPR charges one night + tax then the 10-18% will be an overpayment? I'll have to wait and see what happens :confused3

Anyone ever just booked one night through HK for HK? :listen:
