Question regarding contract paperwork...

Hi everyone, we are sending the paperwork in today via fedex overnight delivery. I have a few questions that I was wondering about though.

* If they don't process the documentation by the 2nd will I still be able to call and make a reservation on the morning of the 2nd? That's my 11 month out and I want to book Dec 1st, 2009 - Dec 8th, 2009. I'm just worried they won't let me if they haven't processed my documentation. It appears that I'm in the system and have already banked my 2008 points though, so I'm probably (hopefully?) worrying over nothing.

* If they receive the docs tomorrow but don't process them until after the 1st (they are closed on the 1st, correct?) will I still be able to write off the closing costs that I paid this year or will I have to wait until next year? The costs were paid this year so I assume I can do it for this year.

Does anyone know how long it takes them to process the paperwork?

If the points are in your account and available, you can use them to book your reservation.

Better check with a tax guy on when and if you can write off closing costs. Is this a business?

It can take a couple of months for all your paper work including your deed being recorded to be completed. Don't worry about it, it will happen.

Is this a resale or are you buying direct from Disney? If by sending the contract back and I'm assuming you meant the check and signed contract you may not be in the system that quickly. If it's through Disney your chances are probably better but I closed on a resale on the 23rd and I'm still waiting to get into the system. They told me they are busy around the holidays which is causing delays. Unless you are booking something like concierge level you probably will not have a problem getting what you want if it's a few days late I am guessing. If it were a holiday week, it might be a different story. Good Luck!

It's through Disney. I'm in the system and I confirmed with Dis that I can book the trip Friday. I was told closing date would be late January even though I've already paid my deposit $.
