Being that I have such a miserable back, I was wondering, is it okay to use a smaller luggage (like they allow on airlines) 21" to carry on board? This way I won't have to carry it, I can wheel it around. This would house the things I want with me (like some toilettries & medication for all 4 of us).

What do you think? Have you seen anyone with a smaller luggage being wheeled around until you are able to check into your room?

TIA!

Mishetta:

The carry-on regs are basically the same for DCL as for the airlines, so the answer to your question is yes. DW and I bring a standard rolling carry-on case, and my camera bag. It makes it SO much easier to transport it around the ship, even though it is a little more bulky than a backpack or something similar.

That is what I used for my carry-on luggage on the plane and the ship on the cruise last week and I didn't have any problems. It's much easier to wheel it around than have to carry it!

It really does save your back! :teeth:

That's what I'll be using!!! No sense carrying anything when it's so easy to wheel it aboard :)

 Hi Everybody!

Thanks for your advice. I think I'll now transfer the stuff I have in a regular carry-on to a rolling suitcase. I'm not even sure if it's a 21" or even just a 19" but the bigger the better since I'll need room to bring souvenirs home in!!

Also, I won't feel alone if I have a rolling suitcase with me as a carry-on. Misery loves company you know! ;)
