jaclyn,
how are you making your own? i'm in the same boat with the flushmount prices...are you doing yours on blurb or shutterfly? i want a really thick one for OUR album and i'm going to do mini's for my parents/sisters/IL's...
Caryn--
What I'm making is not a digital flush mount. I don't know much about those, but I think Daniella's album is gorgeous. I found a website that sells the same album that Randy uses for the albums like Daniella posted. The one Randy uses is the Large Renaissance Verona Leather (http://www.proweddingalbums.net/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=416). I found another site selling it for less (around $200), I'll post when I get home. The albums come in severals sizes-- I believe 12 pages (24 sides), 15 pages (30 sides), 18 pages (36 sides), 21 pages (42 sides), 24 pages (48 sides) and finally 27 pages (54 sides).
Basically you purchase the album and the photo mats (which are around $1 each, they range in size from 4x6 to 10x10). Then I'll have to decide which photos I want to use and have them printed somewhere. You then put the images in the mats with a bit of adhesive and insert them into the album sleeves. I think it will be quite a bit of work, but I can't spend another $800 for our album. Plus, if I do it myself, I can use our MK and Epcot photos from Disney. I think that deciding on the layout will be the most difficult part, but I've got nothing but time on my hands these days with no wedding crafts to create!
So that's my plan... we'll see how it turns out!
