This is probably a repeat question, but I tried searching and couldn't find what I was looking for.

For our next trip, as a notorious overpacker, I'm really trying to streamline the packing. I was thinking of shipping a box to the resort with shampoo, conditioner, sunscreen, etc. - all those items which take up a lot of room in the luggage and add weight as well. My problem is, I'm not sure how to address the package to be sure that it will be waiting when we arrive. Besides our name and the address of the resort, do we put our check-in date (I think this would make sense)? What else do we need? For anyone who has done this successfully, I'd appreciate knowing how you did it. Thanks in advance!

We do this all the time. It's so great to not have to travel with toiletries or bulky items. I put in toiletries, breakfast items, water, snacks, drink boxes, Pepsi, pins, Mickey Ear hats, crocs, flip flops, pool toys for the kids and more. We travel with 1 carryon each! Anyway, when shipping the box we use UPS ground, it's been the cheapest for us, and you can track it and see who signed for it when it is delivered. I put the resort name, address, the name the ressie is under and our check in date. Sometimes I put the ressie # too. I write on all sides "Hold For"(the name the ressie is under)and the check in date. I have never had a problem and my package is always waiting for me at the front desk when we check in. What I also do is put a smaller box in with the big box to ship stuff home. You can do that from the lobby using UPS or Fedex.

or once you've shipped it down, just put it in an owners locker for next time
