Hi,

We'll be there for 10 nights in July and have MYW with hopping tickets for 10 days. DH has decided that he wants to run the marathon so I was wondering if we can convert the MYW tickets to APs on the last day (and pay the difference). I wanted to keep the dining plan for this trip so that's why I didn't just change to APs now. THis way I get the dining this trip, and APs for our January trip and July 2007 trip. I guess we'll be back to WDW for the 4th of July again in 2007 in order to use up our passes.

Yes you can do that as you describe providing it's done within the 14 days but keep in mind that the AP expiration date will be backdated to the first day you used the MYW ticket. Not sure how that would affect your July 2007 plan.

Also, if you have and use any Water Park Fun & More options, you will only be allowed to upgrade to a PAP.

Our first day with the MYW tickets (not water parks tickets, just hoppers) will be July 12. We'll do the 2007 trip July 1-12th.

We upgraded to PAPs in Oct when we went. You can do this the first day of your trip if you want and it will not affect your dining plan. We bought one day base tickets in order to book a package and get the dining plan. Upgraded them on the first day with no problems for the rest of the trip.

How would a person find out the actual Value of the MYW tickets to know about how much the diffrence would be ?

We also changed our MYW passes to AP on our first day, and didn't lose the Dining package. BUT, we were SHOCKED at how much we still "owed" toward our AP's. Be careful. I would do it again in a heartbeat (since we have been back 3 times since, and our going again next week), but it was much more expensive than I had figured.

No, we are not FL residents. We had 8 day MYW (+ dining). We figured we would owe about another $250 total. WRONG!! Over $400 went on the credit card to pay the remainder toward the APs. That was for 2 people. It came out to about an extra $220 a piece, if I remember correctly. Like I said, I would do it again in a heartbeat. But I nearly fell over when they told me how much we still owed. :-) I would suggest it, if you plan to go back a lot. We knew we would never "find the $$" to go back, if we didn't do the APs. It "forced" us to go back. (like we needed much forcing!!)
