Do the buses from the resorts run on any schedule or is just whenever. Same for return from the parks. This will be the first time we will rely on the internal transportation system to get around. Also how often do they come.
Thanks

What resort are you staying at? Some resorts share buses, some don't and that affects how long you are on the buses. Check out this link from allears...

http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/bus.htm

As for schedules, I think service begins a half hour before opening (EMH included) and continues all day until well after closing. DTD buses run in the same manner with buses running until after PI closes.

There isn't a schedule as far as 'every 15 minutes' or anything like that. It seems that there are a number of buses on each run and they just run their routes constantly. I believe they add and subtract buses on each route according to need. Whether you have to wait long will depend on a lot of things, though I'd guess that overall crowd levels would be the biggest part of that.

We've always used the park transportatin exclusively. While we've had one or two times when we had to wait longer than usual, it still wasn't all that bad. We do tend to be laid-back though and figure that we chose to use that transport. :)

The short answer is:

WDW resort and park transportation runs "continuously" thoughout the day.

That means there will be "another bus" to a given location that comes by every 20 minutes or so (usually in a lot less time).

Starting from VERY EARLY in the mornings (say, at between 6:45am and 7:30am) to VERY LATE, into the wee small hours (2 AM+) to/from locations that are "open" like Pleasure Island and the resorts.

Thanks we will be staying at the Coronado Springs Hotel and arrive this Monday, looking forward to it.

You can also ask Transportation questions of the Transportation Board here on the DIS. There are lots of experts there that can help if you have specific questions.

ditto Pezpam's answer- I can only think of a small number of times where I had to wait for the bus or boat I wanted for a "long time" regardless of where I was on the property in four week-long visits. The transportation is excellent as far as I am concerned.

Have stayed at CSR twice and have been very pleased with their bus service.
Maybe once we waited twenty minutes, mostly 10 minutes or less.
