Question on those Food & Wine Bracelet Gift Cards

I had someone pick up for me some of the Food & Wine Gift Cards that you can wear on your wrist. So, I got them in the mail yesterday and they are kind of big. I'm assuming that you take off the top half of the card where the UPC code is and only need the bottom half of the card (that is attached to the bracelet) - that has the scanning part on it??

If so, do I need to keep the top half for anything or can I refill amounts with the info on the bottom half?

You only need to have the bottom half with you and yes, you can refill it with just that part.
Can't remember off hand but I think maybe the top half has info in case you lose it.
