Well I have oct 22-29 week. I didn't get free dining and wasn't able to switch weeks to free dining. My question is about moving from booked CBR to outside Disney.

Currently we have hotel with 5 day base tickets with memory maker and I've made 5 dinner reservations.

If I I call and cancel my hotel reservation and tickets will I keep my memory maker and dinning reservations ?

My plan is to get outside hotel with 5 day tickets. With memory maker. I figure with savings I can keep dining reservations and add a day at universal. Dying to see Harry Potter.

Or should I keep tickets thru Disney or order thru say undercover tourist and link. I really just don't wanna lose my dining reservations. Thanks for help

MM - No but you can rebook. Its the same price regardless if brought in a package or not.

ADRs - They aren't dependent on your hotel reservations. I would wait until your last day is past the 180 mark just because Disney's system is wonky sometimes and has been know to "lose" an ADR booked at the 180+ mark when a reservation is canceled but you can cancel next week and keep all your ADR's .

I would price out your vacation each way (onsite/off site) and see which is the cheaper route. Remember if you stay off site you will need to include a car (if you hadn't been already planning to have one) and parking.

Yeah my 180 day is today. Got places I wanted. We drive down. So will have a car. Will have to pay for parking. That's a minus. But adding a day at universal is big.

I second what the PP said- run the numbers staying onsite and off and see where you come out ahead. Also, look at your ticket options. We have saved money by buying our tickets through undercover tourist in the past.

Yeah I'm looking at under cover tourist now. We have only stayed outside once out of 8 trips. But this year has a budget. Saving 900 on hotel and could go to universal.

So if stay offsite the only thing magic band does is fast pass , dining and part tickets right?

And memory maker?

Magic bands will work for FP, park tickets, and memory maker since those are all linked to your MDE account. Just remember, you won't get magic bands if not staying onsite so if you don't have bands from a previous stay, you'd have to buy them IF you want them.

Thanks. Any dining reservations still link to magic band?

I guarantee you'll save more than $20 a day by staying offsite. There are tons of houses that cost less than $100 per night.

check out parksavers.com for tickets as well. they were cheaper than UT for us this year.
