We are hoping to purchase in 2005. We have three people wanting three different homes. Say we purchase BCV, at the seven month window we try for WLV and we can not get rooms, all booked, are we guaranteed rooms at our home resort? Thanks for any help you can give.

No, you are not guaranteed rooms at your home resort or anywhere else.

However, you do get a booking advantage at your home resort. You can book 11 months in advance at your home resort, while everyone else has to wait until the 7 month window to book at your home resort.

So what many people do, including us, is to make a reservation at your home resort during the "booking advantage" window, preferably as close to 11 months in advance as possible. Usually you can get your own home resort by booking 11 months in advance, unless it's a very busy time of the year and you don't book right at the 11 month mark.

No, there are no guarantees. However, with the 11 month window for your home resort and the 7 month window at the other resorts, I can't imagine being shut out completely.

Yes, your best bet is to book at 11 months at your home resort. Then you get the time needed. At 7 months, you can call and see it you can switch. We were able to change our March, 2005 VB reservations at 7 mo., and were surprised there were openings. Remember, you have to wait until check-out day to change the entire reservation. Otherwise, its one day at a time.
