The family we are going with is concerned that if we stay in a preferred sight we will be too close to the buildings and bathrooms that it will be really noisy and we'll have people walking through our area.

Any reason to be concerned?

Do you like to stay in the preferred sights?

thanks, TK

:)

The preferred sites are closer to the amenities (stores, boat dock, etc.) but the sites themselves are in loops just like all the other sites. I think the preferred sites may be a little closer together, but I've stayed in preferred and non-preferred and found no real difference.

People at FW respect the privacy of a site and I've never seen anyone go through someone else's campsite. FW is a very quiet place, particularly during 'Quiet Hours'.

Let me know if you have any more questions--I love to talk about FW!

I would not be concerned about this, the main difference of the regular and preferred sites is cable tv hook up, some prefered loops are closer to the amenities as mentioned earlier, but the sites are usually quite private.

We've stayed at the preferred sites both trips and have already booked our next at a preferred site. We didn't find any problem with people going thru our site or for it being loud. We did hear the boat parade music and sometimes we could hear the Hoop Dee Doo crowd, but it was definitely not noisy and it was great to be so close to the boat launch and the Trail's End Buffet for the morning coffee refills!

We stayed in the preferred loops and loved it!! The noise that you occasionally hear from the parade or the Hoop de Doo is not loud enought to be a bother and it didn't even disturb my kids sleeping in the camper. What I like best about them is that you don't need to rely on internal transportation to get to the marina to catch the boat to MK or the bus stops to get to the other parks. It's definitely the place to be!

thanks guys! based on the map i saw of FW, the closer to the action, the better.

i'm concerned that we might get a bad spot because we won't be able to check in until evening. i guess we'll just take our chances.

thanks again!
