If I understand correctly ...

any adult can give another adult his MB to use in the FP line (even if it's a man using a woman's MB),
and any kid can give another kid his MB to use in the FP line (even if it's a girl using a boy'd MB),

but an adult can't give a kid his MB to use in the FP line, and vice versa?

Or is that possible too?

Anybody can "borrow" anyone else's MB.

If the child's band is too small for the "borrowing" adult (or vise versa, too large) the "borrower" can just hold the band for
scanning and not wear it.

If the kid is under age 7 they will not be allowed to enter an attraction unless they are accompanied by someone age 14 or older. Otherwise yes, kids can borrow their parents' MBs and use their fastpasses.

We switch MBs regularly based on who wants to ride what and who wants to ride again when someone in our party didn't use their FP+. Only problem we've had is when I tried to buy a beer using DDs MB :p

Thanks everyone for the correction! Yes, I guess that's what threw me off, the "unaccompanied child" exception.
