I'll be setting my WDW plans very soon for next summer. For now it looks like it'll be either June 20 or after July 4th. Here are some of my questions.

Is there a difference in weather between those weeks as far a rain and heat?

Is it humid or REALLY drippy humid? (LOL)

Which time is usually busier (if either).

Not much difference in the weather between those times...
It will be hot, drippy and sticky both those times more than likely, but maybe not QUITE as bad as August...
July 4th is a very busy time at the world!!! If this is important, go in June!!! And have a great time!!! :flower:

I usually went in July or August as a child, and last year we went the last week in June through July 5th. I think the crowds might sie down SLIGHTLY in the days right after July 4th. I know within a few days of the holiday the parks started to get ridiculously crowded! Weather wise-- I don't think there is much of a difference between June and July. It is REALLY drippy humid... I remember just walking out the door of our timeshare and already feeling drippy... but we still have a great time! I recommend going as far away as possible from July 4th...

Eww, I was afraid of that humid drippy weather! Thanks!

We went in 2002 June 2, - July 1st, and it rained like everyday while we were there, no kidding. We would get up, it would be sunny, head to the parks, buy the time we got through the gate it would rain very heavy, stop for a bit, and rain more, it was our worst trip ever. A FL resident told us that June is a very wet month. Some family members of mine went earlier this yr in June, and it rained alot too.

we went in both June & August. For me they were both hot and humid.

I had only 1/2 day of rain the full week I went in June and no rain in August.

I would pick august over june again if I could

another thing to consider is that in july you have longer park hours. we usually go 4th of july and usually you have a thunderstorm everyday in the afternoon.

We went for two weeks this past summer--the week before July 4th and July 4th week. It was SOOO HOT!!! It did rain a couple of days the first week, but luckily the evening shows went on. Quick lightening storm on the 4th, but luckily cleared right as EPCOT'S fireworks started. I usually lose weight or stay the same at WDW because of all the walking, but this time I gained because I didn't want to walk so much in the HEAT! It will be a while before we go in the summer, again. It was very crowded--more than our Easter trip in 2005! I've never seen EPCOT so crowded as it was on the evening of the 4th, but those fireworks were awesome! I thought it was pretty crowded both weeks. I had everyone arriving at the parks by opening!

Why would you pick August? Now I'm totally confused!

So it's hot & humid June, July & August, but rains the most in June? Okay, I want to go in either late June or sometime in July, but which is better and for what reason?

I really appreciate all your replies! (even though I'm confused, hehe! :earboy2:

Any time in Florida in the summer months is going to be hot and drippy. My husband likens the conditions to "air that you can eat". A few tips. We always take a change of shirts with us. My husband usually takes two since he sweats more than I do. Also an extra pair of socks for me. Always carry a water bottle - you can fill it up at the water fountains. A big thing that works wonders for me. Take a small Ziploc bag and a couple of washcloths. During the day, go into the bathrooms and wash down your face, arms, and legs. I cannot tell you how many times women would offer to buy those things from me!

The heat doesn't stop us from going. Slows us down some, but doesn't stop us.

I went the second week in June two years ago and the third week in July this past summer and both times the crowds seemed the same. Yes, it is hot, but if you just expect it, it is not that bad. Purchase the water fan thing to cool you off when you are standing in lines.

Last year a lot of rain in June Will stay away next time. :Pinkbounc

Thanks for the ziploc tip, I'll surely bring that with us!

It also feels great if you put some ice cubes in the Ziploc too. Or even freeze wet washcloths overnight.

And take every advantage of those wonderful friendly Cast Members who are just as hot as we all are and are out there spraying those water bottles over the passing guests. Use the misters too. Never thought I'd see my sedate husband standing under one of those and *gasp* getting wet while wearing street clothes!!!!!!!!

We have Florida Resident Seasonal Annual passes which are blacked out for all of June/July and most of August. We are thankful for this because I can't so much as walk outside to my car and be completely soaking wet from the humidity. The air is so thick that you can often feel it on your skin. Not all days are that bad, but it can be unbearable. I couldn't even imagine being at the parks when it's that bad. I'd live in the gift shop!

You're not going to feel much of a difference in weather from June to July other than it does rain a lot both months, with June being slightly worse. The air just can't hold the humidity and we have the most awesome lightning storms. Crowds will be less in June, but as someone else mentioned, park hours will be longer in July! :)

Good luck! :)
