Question on Express Plus Pass

Ok, I think I answered my first question. The Express pass can only be used one time per ride correct? Do they have some type of baby swap? We will have a 2 1/2 year old with us.

So would it work to get 2 of the Express Passes, and do a baby swap for the other 2 people? When you do a baby swap, do they send you to the express pass line or how does that work? Is it a short wait for baby swap?

I'm sorry..I don't know the particulars of how it works. I've only seen people doing the baby swap but wasn't really paying attention to how long it takes. This is what I found on the Universal website regarding child swap:

"If your kids are too small or unwilling to go on a particular ride you want to experience, you can take advantage of our “child swap” program. Each ride and attraction has a child swap area where one member of your party can wait with the little ones while the rest of your party rides. Then as soon as they get off the ride, they can swap places and stay with the kids while the adults who sat out get their opportunity to enjoy the ride."

I think with babyswap you still need to wait in line.

Here's how the baby swap worked for us last year at Epcot. DH, 13 yr old, 5 year old, 4 year old, 2 month old, and myself went through the line. When we got to the part where you load for the ride, my husband and baby waited with the attendants while I rode the ride with the older kids. After the ride, the attendants told the older kids to stay on the ride and I swapped out with my husband and held the baby. So, the older kids got to ride twice without waiting in line again.
I am not sure if it works this way at Universal, but I have heard it is even easier to baby swap there.

Only those people who have an express can go through the express line, unless the child is under three. Children who don't buy tickets don't need express.

If all parties have express, they go through the express line together. Near where the ride loads, there is a baby swap area. One adult goes to babyswap with the baby, while the other adult rides with the other children. Then when the riders get off the ride, the adult goes to babyswap room and stays with the baby while everyone else goes almost straight onto the ride. Technically they get in the express lane but at a point that is very near the load area so they don't go to the end of the express line or anything.

If no one has express, they wait in the standby line and once they reach the load area the adult goes to baby swap with the baby. Once the party rides, the adult who was in the babyswap room (plus the other riders) go into the express line near the ride area while the other adult stays with the baby. This keeps them from waiting in line twice for the same ride.

If only two in your party have express, those two would be the only people allowed in the express line. The others would wait in the standby line. This wouldn't work for babyswap as your party would be getting to the ride load area at different times. So either all get express or none of you. Unlike Disney, the babyswap area is very close to the ride load area. It is usually an airconditioned room with chairs. It usually has a glass so you can watch your family load on the ride.
