Question on discounts for 2007

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I am needing an answer....We are planning another trip to Disney World in October 2007. I know the AAA rates are not out yet. I was thinking of booking our hotel in the next couple of months and wanted to know if I book the rack rate would I be able to apply any AAA discounts or discount codes to the room after I have booked it? Will reservations give me the lower rate? What happens if a room only discount code comes out after the AAA rate and is an even better rate? Will reservations give me the lowest rate up until the time we go? Thanks for any info you can give me!!!!

I made reservations this morning at the BWI for five nights in January. I asked about the AAA rates (even though I knew they weren't available yet) and the CM told me I could modify my reservation when the AAA rates are released. This would be true if a code came out, as well.

At the moment, I'm booked at the rack rate, but I have high hopes the rate will come down in the next couple of months.

Just remember that if you want to book a package with AAA pricing, you have to do that with AAA (from what I've read here at the DIS.) You can only book "room only" AAA discount ressies thru Disney. Hope that makes sense.
