Question on current incentive

We have already talked to a guide - years ago. So we are in the system. Basically we've been "on the fence" about buying DVC for years. I almost bought last year but I decided to wait until I could pay cash...I'm still saving, but I'm not quite there. Now, this deal sounds great and I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and finance or use my equity line.

Question - can I still use this program if a member refers me even though I'm already in their system? Or would that disqualify me?

Insist on it. I don't think Disney should be trying to get out of not giving the incentive to some people. I think in the end, most people were "referred" by someone.

We happened to purchase (but not sign any paperwork) a few weeks before the incentive started. We finally, after a little bit of a fight, got them to redo our contract for us. I don't think Disney was the problem, I think our guide was.

I am sure they will give it to you.

I talked to my guide yesterday and asked if I needed my referrer to contact them and she said no, you have already been referred. That was the name I put down when I first contacted DVC over 2 years ago. So that first "who told you about DVC?" question is your referral.

My DH and I looked into DVC a few years ago and decided not to go ahead with the purchase. We just bought SSR with the friends referral discount and had no trouble even though we were in their system.

I just got the referral discount yesterday even though DVC already had me in the system. All I needed to do was provide the name and location of a current DVC member as my referral. Within 5 minutes, my guide told me, "Congratulations!" I should have the paperwork to fill out and return on Friday.

We were already in the system and finally decided to buy and I used a Dis-board member that had helped us with tons of questions and they got the credit, I just told them I had someone who referred us and she added it on. I wasn't sure if it would work or not but it did!

Same here! I called in Sept. about buying into DVC after our stay there. I actually had decided to wait, but this deal came up and we couldn't resist! Called Gib yesterday and he is sending the papers out. I should have them by Friday! I'm so excited!

What is the current promotion?

Basically if you're a member or have a referral from a member you get 15% off the price at SSR. Minimum add-on is 120 and I believe minimum new purchase is 150 points.
