Question on convenience stores/groceries

I'll be staying at the Fairfield in July with a toddler so I will need to have milk in the in-room fridge.

Is there a convenience store on Harbor within walking distance? I seem to remember one from years past but I really can't remember.

Also, for those who do grocery deliveries from a place like safeway.com - how does this work? Can you schedule a delivery time so that you don't miss time in DL? Or does one member of the party have to sit around and wait?

I don't know about the specific Von's deliveries there, but I know that our Safeway deliveries (same company) can be scheduled in a 2 or 4 hour block (different delivery charge depending on which you choose). I will mention however that all three deliveries I've had from our local delivery Safeway have been late...grr.

I would hope they have the late thing figured out, unlike our local deliveries, but I would think the delivery window concept is about the same.

My plan is to order from albertsons.com when we check-in on the 21st. I went online and added everything we will need to my shopping list. Then, a day or two before we leave I'll add the items to our online cart and schedule delivery for check-in date. On their website it says they have 1.5 hour delivery windows, not TOO bad I guess. Like you I will be going CRAZY! My first trip to DL and after a 7 hour flight I'll be itching to hit the parks!

Get a 12 pack of cactus cooler it is a orange/pinapple soda, that is very tasty, and only availble in parts of the USA with the LA area being one of them.

There is a convenience door very close at the front of the Tropicana, you will have to pass it every day to go to DL. It is a little expensive compared to a 7/11 but real handy. There is a 7/11 down Harbour on the corner of Katella and Harbour, its about a 15minute walk. If you go the other way up Harbour towards Ball Rd, turn right into Ball there is a supermarket on your right about a 5-10 min walk along Ball.
