Question on a Waitlist

I have been trying to switch a ressie from SSR to AKL Kidani standard view studio in August because I am surprising my sister for her birthday. Well.. this week, I was able to get all but one of the days right in the middle, so I booked the first half and then the second half and waitlisted the 1 night in the middle. Do waitlists requests appear on the DVC member page? (under the up coming reservations??)

Wish me luck... and if anyone isn't using a Standard view studio at Kidani on 8/20/12 that they have booked, please cancel!!!! Just Kidding... well.. maybe not..

You can see/manage your waitlists under 'Vacation Center'.

You may want to login in several times each day to see if it becomes available. It can take time for your waitlist to match with an open day. In that time, some one may come in and take it. There are many stories of people calling to check on their waitlist to be told - "yes it just became availabe" or "you are on the list to call today". If you see it, call MS immediately to have it applied to your WL.

Just got the email saying my 1 day at beginning of a reservation came through so I can understand you wanting to check on the status of yours. I checked the view vacation section daily to see if it had come in. I hope you have the middle day booked somewhere else just in case it does not come through for you. Since you are within one month of the trip it is a little less likely to come in unless someone has to cancel at the last minute since you are past the 31 day mark and points will go into holding for anyone cancelling now. Sending pixie dust your way and hope that you get that day you need.

Another thing to keep in mind.. When your wait list expires keep calling everyday to see it there is availability. On our last trip we were missing one day to complete our stay and the day before we left I was able to get that room. I called twice a day once in the morning and once in the late afternoon.
