If it actually makes it on the roll, it goes under if I put it on there and over if DH does.

Does anyone remember the scene from "Mad about You" when she comes out from the back with the old roll, the roller and a new roll? She doesn't say anything, just shows:

Take old roll off roller
Place new roll on

Then walks back...

I've got DH on board with the over and always replacing the roll. He used to never put it on the roll and his mom still doesn't at her house. It drives me crazy. Odd thing is my mom is an under person so not sure when I became and over.

Ok, first my kids broke the toliet hanger thingy... if it was still alive and working... it would be OVER! Why, I have no eartly idea but it drives me crazy otherwise!

so right now.. as long as it's on the counter and within reach, I don't complain!

I have no idea what I do. I don't consciously make a decision for either over or under. I'm just glad it is on the roll.

Over. If it's under, it's easier for unassuming pets to grab the end and run it through the entire house 10 minutes before company is set to arrive.

Plus then it's easier to "find" in the dark at night when you have to go and don't want to wake up with the lights on.

This is such the perfect question for a Friday!! It's over at my house (in my bathroom anyway). The kids bathroom and the one DH uses it is lucky to get on the roller. I called DH and DD into the bathroom one day and gave them a lesson on how to put the roll on.... sigh... it still doesn't make it on there.

Two of my bathrooms don't even have a place put to the roll. So it's on the floor or on the back of the toilet. The third bathroom, it's over. Always. My DH will fix it if it isn't. That is just so weird. I really don't care.

It's over here too, even though my mom does hers under. I have to resist the urge to change other peoples TP too!

UNDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with the comment about control - except in reverse. When it's over, it's always difficult to get enough! LOL Plus I can never find the beginning/end. It took me nearly 15 yrs to break DH of the habit of putting it on over.

Of course I make him crazy because I prefer to wait to put it on the hanger until it's at least 1/3 gone...he buys these giant rolls that are really too big for the "hole" in the wall. I probably wouldn't like it if there wasn't the perfect spot for it (there's a radiator & wide window sill right there)...I wouldn't cope well if it was on the floor or the back of the toilet.

We are an over family too....DH is great about changing the roll (he even puts the seat back down!) I'm still trying to get DD to put a new one on, she usually just yells at me that its empty.
