Question in General about VMK Theatre

Is trading a VMK full theatre for rare stuff the same as offering the pirates stuff that was just removed from the shops for rare?

I had somebody walk into my room after riding my ride and ask me if I would be willing to trade it. I said only for the ultra rare and lots of it....followed by an lol!! They had no pins on so either they were new or a mule. (I was thinking the latter)

Anyhow, the person told me that there is no way anybody would trade rare for a full theatre because anybody can get it.

Granted you can buy enough movies to get it yourself, but I was not sure what kind of value it held in VMK.

Any thoughts?

I guess it depends on the person wanting to trade. I, personally, would not give "ultra rare" for it, because the theatre set is available to anyone who buys enough movies (or is given the movie codes). Rare and ultra rare implies (to me) that it's either unavailable or extremely hard to get (i.e. Sparrow costume). Because the availability of the theatre set it much higher than say a Sparrow costume (which also is still available), I certainly wouldn't trade it for ultra rare. However you may be able to come across a person who would.

Trade value is really in the eye of the beholder...it's relative to each person interested in doing a trade.

Trade value is really in the eye of the beholder. A while back, I gave a full set along with a flip hat and a couple miner things to get a beta black candle.

I've seen others offering quite a bit of rare for it too. But then, I've seen people offer very little for it or trade it for very little.
Some people either don't want to trade for the codes (or can't) and won't or can't buy the dvd's to get the theater set.
Plus, there's the added difficulty that there is only one set per movie rewards account.

Although the value varies by the individual, I would say that it is more 'valuable' than the things everyone could buy a few weeks ago.

Just because something is not considered a good trade does not make it a scam.

A scam is a trade where one of the traders tries or does STEAL your items. Value is all relative to how much you or another player really wants an item, think of it kind of like attending an auction where people bid on items, you(the trader) is bargaining with another for something you want and what you are willing to part with or vice versa.

I would not want some players to get a bad rep because others thought what they offer or ask in trade was by some considered a scam.
