Question: Grand Gatherings?

Could you do a Grand Gathering as a DVC member? If we bring my parents, sister and nieces in July 2010, there would be 10 of us altogether (all children will be over age 3 by then too), staying at BWV together in 3 separate rooms, all on our points. Would we be able to do this as a Grand Gathering and do the GG breakfast for example?

Yes, DVC groups are eligible for Grand Gatherings.

I am currently working on a grand gathering. The first thing you need to do is call DVC member services to have them fill out a form for you to get a gathering number. You will need to know everyones reservations numbers, names, and birthdays. A few days later I got a phone call with my grand gathering number. I am planning on booking the wishes cruise but am not within the 180 window yet. I'm not sure where to call to book grand gatherings, I still have a few months to find out. I'm sure someone else knows.

No you don't book through MS. FIRST you do call MS to get a GG number. This doesn't happen right away, you have to wait a few days (in my experience) and then call the GG phone number. I copied this from Disney's web site:
