Hi

I recently agreed to rent some points from a member and called MS today and they have the reservation number at the right resort just not in MY name she said

I have PM'd the owner and I am sure I will hear from him but just wanted to know if I had said or done the wrong thing on the phone with MS

She said she would not discuss it with me since it was not in my name?? :confused3

any advice??
thanks

ps I talked to the owner and he is looking into it I just wanted to make sure I did not say something when calling!!
thanks!!

Once you have the confirmation number you should able to call MS with out a problem. The renter may have forgotten to put your families name on the ressie. In any case it would be a quick fix.

Actually it was a combination of an owner's fat fingers. making a typo (just one wrong digit), and a less than magical DVC Advisor, who didn't offer to look up by name (which every other DVC Advisor I have every encountered has offerred to do!) BTW before you flame me folks, Yes this Advisor did her job, and not an iota more. I have no problem with that, and she did due the minimum. But to be fair, anyother MS advisor that I have dealt with (and that is alot of them!) would have offered to lookup by name, thus adding to the magic with very little effort. And they weren't busy today, my three calls were answered after 2-4 rings, no messages!

Anyway, a quick lookup on the DVC web page, found the correct ressie conf# and all is good!

P.S. Jen you are way too nice to have said anything 'wrong'!

AWWWW...thanks... :thumbsup2 I just meant, did I say something that the Disney Police did not like...like are they aware people rent these points or what, KWIM??? And will they frown upon it if they know...because actually she asked me for a member number first and I SIMPLY said "can I just give you my reservation number instead???" It was fine after that...isn't it funny how there WAS a reservation with just ONE number off of mine at the BC?? Seems like they would kinda space them out or something!! :rotfl:

everything went just fine and I am VERY HAPPY and excited to be talking dh into buying.....ERRRR....renting points at a DVC... ;)
also she was MOODY imo...but I suppose it is late there and work shift is about over...or is over by now I guess...
the second lady I talked to said they had been having computer difficulties all day and it took her quite awhile to find the info but she appologized...maybe they need a little pixiedust: there at MS today...

now the only worries I have for the trip is
A. Finding airfare during Thankgiving!!!
B. Getting use to a moderate resort before the BCV stay...for a split stay
or
C. Driving 20 hours so that we can stop in TN to see my family for Thanksgiving...

Thanks!! :sunny:

Looking forward to November!!! pixiedust:

I had the same problem as you this week. I called MS and I guess the same woman that answered for you answered for me too b/c she was just a touch snappy, however my call was also late in the work day as well. I noticed that you're trying to talk your DH into..... um, uh, .....renting points ;) I just managed talking my DF into maybe buying in while we we are there for our honeymoon. I think once you get your DH in the door of DVC he will definitely jump on board. Good luck!!! pixiedust:

I just love your family pic! I hope you can find a way to enjoy many more DVC trips!!

thank you~
we had an amazing time there in September, I only wish Iowa was not so far away. My family gets to live in TN!! Close enough to drive to WDW...

Anyway about the pic...

it was soooo cool going to Philharmagic!!! Awesome!!! I remember my first 3D experience (it was the Birds at Universal when I was a teenager!!) It makes me happy thinking my girls will remember how wonderful that was...even when something bigger and better comes along. That Birds movie was FREAAAKY...

I like the pic but YUK...my hair had seen better days than our time at WDW!!!
I am normally more put together and polished than that!!!

I almost want to post another pic of me with hair and make up just so dissers do not think I am a slob!!! :rotfl:

Jen

THe Birds film was my first 3D experience as well - I thought it was amazing at that time - wish it was still there really.

Philharmagic is now my all time favorite attraction - makes me cry.

My DD has the same yellow Tinkerbell t-shirt as your little one - cute aren't they?

BTW - we live 9 hours flight and $$$$$ away from WDW - you are just around the corner really :thumbsup2
