I read on a post her that someone was pool swapping. Are you allowed to go to different resort pools than the one you are staying at? There are so many decisions in just choosing a resort! If you stay at Boardwalk Inn, can you use the pool at Beach Club? The Stormalong Bay sounds great! I'm just confused at how close together these resorts are. Also, which are the best deluxe (sleep 5) resorts for teens? We'll probably only do half days at the parks so we have time for water parks, Universal, etc. Thanks so much for this great site!

Nope, pool hopping is not allowed. At the Beach Club they make you show your room key to get into the pool area.

The official Disney rule is that pool hopping is not permitted and that only guests of a particular resort are permitted to use that resort's pool. This rule is enforced somewhat haphazardly at different resorts, although relatively strictly at the YC/BC pool because of its popularity. If you are interested in having to access a particular pool, it is best to book a stay at that resort, rather than to try to bend or break the rules.

Hi,

The only people who can use Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club are guests of Beach/Yacht Club and Beach Club Villas. You have to show your hotel card to get into that pool. We stayed there and our ID's were checked every time. That being said, we LOVED Beach Club and are going back this year, mainly for the pool. Our teens absolutely love it.

As far as pool hopping to other pools, my understanding is that it depends on the time of year and how crowded any given pool is. I believe the "Disney etiquette" is to call ahead to the front desk of the resort whose pool you would like to visit, and ask if it's okay to visit. On very crowded days, you may be asked not to come.

Some resorts are closer than others, but WDW is really as big as a city. You can walk from BC/YC to BWI or to MGM or Epcot pretty easily. You can walk from the Contemporary to MK. I wouldn't want to walk from most resorts to others however. Take the buses/monorail/boats unless you are a marathon walker!

Hope this helps! Happy Planning! :wave2:
