I reserved a 1 bedroom villa and a 1 bedroom studio from two different owners for the same date. I am asking Disney to put the rooms next to each other so I can use as a 2 bedroom. I think the 1 bedroom is 'standard' and the studio is 'boardwalk view'. Will they accommodate us by downgrading the studio view? Should I call in advance or is this done only on check in?

Thanks!

Since "standard" view rooms at BWV are as difficult to reserve as "boardwalk" view rooms, it's unlikely they will be able to accommodate your request by downgrading. If both rooms were simply "preferred view" , you would have had a better chance of doing what you ask.

I'd contact the members who made your reservations and ask each to make a location request for you that the two separate reservations be located as close together as possible, but it will be treated as a request and cannot be guaranteed. If you needed a two bedroom, it would have been much easier (and fewer points) to simply reserve it that way in the first place.

You can also make the request at check-in and see what happens.

Have a great trip. The rooms will be fine however they are situated.

Enjoy!

Another fly in the ointment would be if one or both are reserved as dedicated rooms. Boardwalk has many dedicated 1 bedrooms & studios, but all 2 bedrooms are lockoffs. If they setup both of your rooms as lockoffs, you would have a better chance.

What are your dates?

Maybe you could change your reservations for a 2 BR from each for consecutive dates then link the reservations. I know the points won't be exactly the same but it's very possible you could work it out. But as it stands now you have NO chance of matching them up or even having them close.
