Do people bring children with them to the meetings? I have a 4 year old that might need to come to a meeting with me at times - but I don't want her to be a distraction to others or people to be annoyed with me.

Yes, there are always one or two at the meetings I have attended.

I've brought my kids many times. Sometimes they were good and others they werent and I left early. One of the secretaries was really nice and would come over and talk to them to distract them if they were getting on my nerves! If the only way for you to go is to bring them then bring them!

Ask your leader. Some are much more easy going about it than others. And sometimes there are "Mom" meetings that are meant for Moms and kids.

I used to bring my kids when they were little and they were almost always very good. But there was one lecturer who frowned on children at the meetings and commented on the children (not just mine) more than once. I finally stopped attending because she made such a huge deal out of it. But the most recent lecturer I found (who I LOVED.... he was GREAT) was very easy going. He always gave the kids stickers after the meeting if they had been quiet and not disruptive. My son loved to get his stickers every week from Hal! ............................P

I don't understand being grumpy about it if they are behaving :confused3

I actually won't sit by my aunt at the meeting I go to now because she talks the whole time and I think it's rude to be talking while the leader is speaking. But DD has gymnastics at the same time as my meeting - and DH who usually takes her is umpiring that night now. So I have to change meetings anyway....but I might also be more in the position to have to take her. I think I'll go to the new one the first time alone....and then ask if it's okay.

Thanks for the info!
Amanda

I used to bring my son when I was going to meetings, and he was usually well behaved. There were always a few kids and we always sat in the back and he had a few quiet toys to play with. During the day meetings, there were usually some kids there.

I always bring my son...he plays one of his hand held games (he is 10). No one seems to mind and there are always a couple other kids.

I always think he no paying attention and then when we get to the car, he asks questions about the lecture! I guess its a good learning experience for him.

Every morning I take my little kiddos with me to my WW meeting! Then again, it is a mommy and me WW class so I think that anyone that goes to this specific meeting knows that there will be kids.
