I originally purchased my ticket last year and I pre-purchased Genie+ when it was still allowed.
I am now here at the parks (FINALLY!) after waiting for a long while to revisit WDW!
Original Purchase: 4-Day Standard with Genie+ Add-on.
Upgraded to: DVC Sorc. Annual Pass
Issue:
From my understanding, the full price I paid for original ticket would go toward AP price; however, I would lose the Genie+ privilege and would have to buy again using the current policy.
At midnight, I logged on to go ahead and add G+; however, the app said that I already had Genie+ linked to my account. I made sure to check that the tickets match park reservation numbers and they did.
My concern is---do I actually have Genie+ or will I have issues? Is this a magical lucky bug where I retained my original Genie+ and, for whatever reason, the system did not drop me from it when I made the upgrade?
Anyone else with a similar experience?
