Question for those that use NE tickets

We usually take 3 years to use our park days but the WP&M options we expect to use for many years. Only one per trip. But with the cost of adding NE anymore, we aren't sure we are going to continue to buy these tickets.

I bought 10 day NE WP&M tickets 2 years ago. My reasoning was that we also do all the other parks (SW/US/IOA) plus we go to the beach a lot. Well then DD decided she only liked MK and the water parks, and we have done MNSSHP and MVMCP, so that doesn't even use up anything on out NE tix. So we still have 7 days left for theme parks but our WP uses are gone. We will be there in a few weeks and I am desperately trying to get her to go to DHS and AK just to get some use from our tickets.

My family and our extended family got these before the last two price hikes for group trips and are planning our first trip with them in the fall. I don't know how I convinced everyone to get them, I should have become a salesman. :rotfl: At the rate the NE option has been going up in price though we will likely NOT buy them again going forward (if they even continue to offer them).

I'm really hoping to stretch these out to 4 family trips (we'll probably also go to MNSSHP or MVMCP on two of the trips), and maybe a summer trip for some waterpark days/day at Universal. Some folks are voting for 3 trips, I guess we will just see how it goes.

If we go every other year the last trip may be 8 years from now, when they say NE I hope they mean it. :crazy2:

Wow, I have never heard of people using up the water park days first, I hope my son enjoys them that much also. :)

I bet your dd will come around to the other parks, tell her you will go on Kali River Rapids a few times. :thumbsup2

Ours last 3 to 4 trips. A typical visit is 7 days 6 nights with 3 theme park visits and 1 waterpark visit. On off days, we'll head to a Gulf beach (Pine Island) or Atlantic beach (Melbourne) or US for a day. We drive down so we have a car. We've also done MNSSHP and not used a theme park entitlement to go to MK for the trip. The WP&M entitlements will last for 10 visits and that means ~15 years based on our past attendance rate.

We've been going during free dining and have accumulated unused 1-day and 2-day tickets that we intend to convert to 10-day, NE, PH, WP&M (optional at this point) tickets when the current tickets are exhausted - if it makes financial sense at that point in time.

I'm not sure if they will continue to offer the NE tickets, Disney seems to be pricing them so high that sooner or later it will be the same price to just buy tickets each time you go.

I enjoy planning our trips and am looking far into the future right now, but I guess we'll just count on using them for 3 trips and if it's 4 it will be a bonus. ::yes::

We were lucky and bought the 10-day NE with PH and WaterParks from UT....3 days before the price increase. This is how I plan to divide ours.

This trip next week:
5 Park Days
2 Water Park Days
1 Mini Golf
maybe one more for Disney Quest if it happens to fit in .

2-3 years from now
Universal Studios Trip with 2-days at Disney Water Parks

5-6 years from now
5 Park Days
2 Water park days
2 "other" fun visits

Will never happen. Even if they made it the SAME price for a 10-day NE as 2x 5-day tickets....you still have the built-in price protection.

For someone like me who will only go every 5-6 years, that's a big savings!

I didn't think of that, that does make sense. :scratchin
