Thank you. It's next Thursday so I have a few days to wait. Not looking forward to it. The last time I had something take out, I was 28 years old. The surgeon was working and working, when suddenly a nurse came in with some papers. Are these the results?? I heard paper rattling and he let out a very loud sigh, and let all the weight of his hands suddenly rest on my chest. No words were spoken.
My heart began pounding.
Did he just get some bad news about me and it literally took the wind out of him???
Nothing was said.
He finished stitching me up and left.
No one came to say anything, the nurse just came and told me I could get dressed.
When I realized no one was going to announce the findings, I finally asked the nurse, "Wait....so what was it? Was it benign???"
She sorta waved her hand and said, almost as an after-thought, "Oh yeah, it was fine" and left the room.
So yeah, lots of room for improvement on that part.
