We'll be in the parks for four days in June. No vacation is a good vacation without some good food experiences. We will have two kids (boys ages 7 and 11) with us who also appreciate good food. However, I don't want to spend too much time away from attractions for meals - one sit-down at most a day and no long dinners (so places like Napa Rose probably out). Please give me your suggestions from gourmet delights to great street food.

Here is the link to the 'sticky' at the top of this page on favorite foods....
I can't tell you how many hours I've spent drooling over those pictures...
It may help with what you're looking for...

Our favorite Table Service places are Cafe Orleans and Carnation Cafe in DL for any meal and Storyteller's Cafe in the Grand for breakfast.
Our favorite Counter Service are Pacific Warf Cafe in DCA for bread bowls and Rancho in DL for saucy Mexican food. We've also recently discovered the new lunch and dinner menu at the Riverbelle Terrace. A little pricey, but fresh and good.
And the Corn Dogs aren't bad either!

Wine Country in DCA is great for a nice sitdown that is yummy and inexpensive with a great view of the park.

In DL a favorite sit down is Cafe Orleans. In DCA it would be Wine Country Trattoria.

For counter service we like French Market and Redd Rocket's Pizza Port in DL and no real favorites in DCA. If we are in that area, we usually go to White Water Snacks at the Grand Californian.

Street food, always love corn dogs...a little tip, usually it comes with chips, but if you don't want the chips tell them and they'll take $1 off the price. Another favorite is Bengal Barbecue. And can never walk past the Tiki Room without getting a Dole Whip.

Sitdown - BB (a must for us) and Hook's Point (excellent seafood)

Counter Service - We love Bengal BBQ in DL and Pacific Wharf in DCA. Redd Rockett's in DL has a really great chicken fusilli. Otherwise, we do a lot of snacking - Mickey Mouse pretzels, cream cheese pretzels, dole whip floats, churros, fudge . . . I could go on for awhile. I am also totally starving now. :)

There aren't a huge amount of options but......

We love Wine Country Trattorio. And for what you pay is is a good value. They also give a 10% AAA discount

Goofy's Kitchen for dinner has some great options. The prime rib is out of this world. It can be fairly quick as it is a buffet. They also offer AAA discount

Have a great trip!
