We were at a place called "John's Pass" near St. Petersburg Florida recently and I backed my rental car into a parking space. When we left a few hours later I had a ticket on my windshield for $20.00. The reason for the ticket was because I backed into a parking space.(I'm not kidding) I have never heard of such of a thing. Why does it matter if I back into a parking space or pull straight in? Is this to rip off the tourists or what?
It's only $20.00 and no big deal but it's just very surprising to me that there is a law that says you cannot back into a parking space. (It kind of aggravated me)
Also is this just a local law to the St. Pete area or is this a law for all of Florida? If it's a law for all of Florida then let this be a warning to all of you who drive or rent cars to be careful how you park the car...or as we say in Boston.."paahk the caah" LOL
