Question for Any Coin Collectors Out There

In getting ready for our upcoming trip, I went around and gathered our change and rolled about thirty dollars in quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies. While we were doing this, DH found $15.00 in Susan B. Anthony dollar coins. They are all in good condition and dated 1979. Do they have any value over $1.00 or should I just take them to the bank and trade them in for paper money?

We also have a number of old coins from an aunt of mine and have no idea what kind of value they have. Are there any good websites that could perhaps assist us in finding out what they might be worth? And how do you find a reputable coin dealer? Is there some association to which they should belong? I'm afraid if we're sitting on something really valuable we could be taken advantage of as we don't have a clue what anything's worth.

TIA for any advice you can give me.

I've never heard of a SBA being worth more than face value, but then I'm not a collector. I will however give you a bump :teeth:

I'm just giving this a bump hoping someone might have some advice for me.
