So we are ready to book....yay!
We are planning on doing a split-stay starting at BLT and ending at CBR...I'm so excited! We have never done a split-stay and I'm not entirely sure how the process works. I thought I had everything figured out but then I thought of something last night and I'm glad I did because this could be a potential disaster
. It is extremely important that I figure this out because it will not effect plans but will effect how we book our vacation. I'm hoping you guys can give me the answer.
Here is the deal: We would be staying 3 nights at BLT on a friends DVC points and then 6 nights at CBR. Obviously our BLT will be a room-only made by our friends on our behalf and the reservation will be in our names. In the past we have always done packages and planned on booking the rest of our trip as a package so we didn't have to do things seperately. We had planned on getting 10 day park hoppers with waterparks on our package. As far as I understand split-stays are essentially 2 seperate reservations. And it is actually that point which brings me to my question. Since we would be staying at CBR second and not first how would that work with our park tickets? Since it would be 2 seperate reservations so to speak would the park passes be activated upon checking in at CBR meaning our 1st three days would couldn't go to the parks? If that is the case the we would not do book CBR as a package. We would get our park tickets and airfare seperately so we could go to the parks our entire trip. I just figured it would be easier to do it all through Disney. I know that we could transfer our park passes from our kttw card from one resort to the other so I knew it wouldn't be a problem as far as that goes. But if booking a package for the second part of our vacation means we can't use our tickets until arriving at that particular resort that definitely creates a issue and will change how we book.
Thanks for any help you can provide
