I like to assemble my cricuted letters and paperpiecings using Xyron. But even though I rub on the backing (fronting?) really well, and even go round the pieces with my bone folder, I end up with a lot of adhesive around the bits which makes them sticky.

Yesterday I tried sprinkling them with glitter in hopes that it would only stick to the sticky spots. It was messy:eek: and the bits were still a little sticky.

How do you deal with the excess stickum?

OR, if not xyron, what do you use for piece assembly?

I have the same problem....do you have one of the adhesive erasers??? it really helps get all the little goobers....EK makes the one I have.
I also use my ZIG pen for smaller stuff!

That is why I stopped using my xyron :lmao: I found it to be too time consuming and expensive. I use the ZIG pen for all smaller pieces like Lisa. If the item is at least 1/2 wide I use my ATG gun.

Another glue user here. I like that with liquid adhesive I have a little wiggle room if something isn't in the perfect spot.

I was thinking of using my Xyron to glitter some pieces but thanks for the warning! I'll use something else;)

I use my X to do letters, if they are really thin and I can't use the ATG.

I go around each letter with a ball point pen or a pencil, that seems to end a lot of the goobers, and then when there may still be goobers, I use my fingernail to get them off before I place on the paper.

and yeah, I find the whole thing very time consuming. And usually use my zig pens to put liquid glue on the letters to be faster.

ok, for 15 sets of "a pirates life for me" I used my zig pen. Not so much excess glue fur sure, but OH my! was that slow! Done now, thank goodness.
