Not sure if I am asking this in the right place but I am going to ask anyway...

I was just able to switch my reservation from SSR to BCR. Will I get the magic bands and be able to do the FP+ thing or are these 2 things separate from each other? I'm a little confused about all that. I have never been to Disney in June and I know it will be crowded so I think the FP+ will help us. If this has already been asked I'm sorry for the repeat question. Thank you!

Yes, unless there are drastic changes made to the system before then, you will get both.

Do you know when they usually let you know about that stuff? Maybe I will just call.

They won't send any specific notice to "let you know." What you need to do is go to the My Disney Experience site, https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/plan/my-disney-experience/ , and set it all up. Use the same ID and password that you have for the DVC site. On the MDE site you will be able to link your DVC reservation number for the trip and then also link any park tickets you already have (if you won't be buying tickets until you arrive, that step can just wait until you arrive), make dining reservations, and then starting 60 days out be able to do Fastpass+ designations (up to 3 per person per day). You will also be able to set up and personaiize (color and name) your Magic Bands. They will then send you the Magic Bands about 3 to 4 weeks before the trip. The Magic Bands will be your room key, park tickets, and Fastpass+ entry , You can also put charging privileges on them by adding a credit card to your account.

If you have an iPhone or other smart phone, iPad or other touch/mobile computer, you should also download an app from the applicable app store called My Disney Experience and then all your reservations and Fastpass+ designations and times will be accessible from the mobile device.

Right now, those with reservations in March are able to personalize their Magic Bands. I do not believe it has opened up for April yet.

The FP+ system will open 60 days before your check in date. At that time you will be able to make FP+ selections for your entire stay. You will be limited to the number of days on your park tickets.

seems there is some "hard limit" of number of FP+ days for people staying long stays (with AP's at least)

some have gotten blocked after 7, 8, or 14 days. There's an AP and FP+ thread someplace in here...

Myself, we made 13 days for our upcoming trip. I thought maybe about adding the 14th day (not sure when we are going to drive home) and i would have been able to hake the 14th day but i didn't. Now when i go back to add the 14th day it complains we have to many days. So I'm stuck at 13.

Apparently for those staying longer than the limits once you use a day you can add a day.

Yes, at least for us, the limit is seven days worth of FP+.

Since we are at the parks currently and have another trip coming up in January, I am adding a day of FP+ each day in January after we use one now. Before we arrived for this trip, I got a "FP+ limit exceeded" message when I tried to reserve for January. And when I called MS to inquire, this is the strategy that they advised. Each day you use one of your seven, you can then book a new day after the clock rolls past midnight.

Also, for what it's worth, it is VERY easy to move FP+ around currently. Today I was able to move two of them for tomorrow- for space mountain and BTMRR, with basically a wide open availability calendar showing on the app. On a day that is predicted to be crowd level 8.

I wouldn't count on this kind of flexibility once the system rolls out to all park guests, though...

FYI the "limit exceeeded" might be real OR it might be an inappropriate error message. If you get it again, go Back or Cancel and try again. That has worked for me EVERY time.

DS and I check in on the 4th and out on the 13th of January. We have APs that were already added to MDE and can be accessed by our Magic Bands. From the moment we checked in in October I could make FP+s for the next 60 days.

As soon as it was 60 days from the 4th of January we were able to do FPs for all dates. I did not do them for all dates at that time, but I'm closing in on it. Once it was 60 days from the 14th it added that day. Next day added the following day. And so on.

Will I be able to do the FP+ with tickets purchased from the Disney Arts program? My daughter is dancing there in June and the whole dance company is ordering tickets together at a special rate. I am not sure when we are getting our tickets. The deadline the school put on us is April. Also, we were told the max day ticket we could get w/ the program is 8 days so I was going to purchase the military tickets when we got there for extra days. Would I be better off ordering the tickets from the MWR office first so I could put those ticket numbers into the computer? Also, should I let the dance teacher know that she should place her order as soon as she can so we can have those ticket numbers to enter into the computer so we can do the FP thing?

Jpmom, that question is so technical that almost no one on the dvc board could give you a useful answer.

I'd suggest you PM "Cheshire Figment". He can likely help.

Other than the "order tickets early" part. That's clear- you have to have the ticket to associate with your MDE profile before you can access FP+. So yes get them in hand ASAP.

Thanks, I will ask Cheshire Figment. Now I'm nervous about those tickets from dance. Our money is due April 1st and I'm not sure if that is the absolute last day people can pay or if she will be letting people pay later.... Maybe I will just call the performing arts people and they can answer my question with those tickets. Maybe since we are definitely going I can buy my tickets soon and not have to worry about it. I will also contact our MWR office on base and see if I can get those tickets sooner as well.
