Hi...:) ..iam off to BVC and VWL in just 3 weeks:woohoo:

During my VWL stay..i have a Segway tour at Fort wilderness booked for DH and Ds..Now they have to be there for I think 8.20am...Will it be better for them to drive..and then take internal bus to where the tour is held ..Or..i suspect walking through the pathway from VWL will be better.

How long does this walk take...is it oK to do this early in the morning?
it would be ideal really..as the tour takes place by the lake end of FW and I understand if driving they would have to park up the other end of FW?

After the tour thet will be taking the boat to MK to meet me and dd for 12pm lunch at the plaza.
I think the tour ends at 10.30am so even if it over runs I think they will make it the MK Ok for 12pm.

I would love to here from any DVCers who have done this tour from VWL..or anyone who has used the walkway who can advise!:thumbsup2

While we have stayed at WL, we have not walked to FW but I have seen comments that it takes about 20 minutes and it is well laid out and an easy walk. Another alternative are the boats which travel around the lake. One of them does a WL, FW and CR loop and it only takes 5 minutes from WL to FW.

We did the early Segway tour last Dec and took the boat over. I believe the boat between the CR, WL and FW begins running at 6:30 am or so. And you are then in the settlement area where they start the tour. It's just a 5-10 minutes ride.

If they drove they would need to park at the outpost and then catch a FW internal bus back to the settlement. Walking would probably be faster than doing that although I have not walked it myself - only road a Segway between the two resorts. :goodvibes
