We are planning on staying in a 2bd at BCV for our first trip on points (YAY). My mom and SF will be staying with us for 3 nights and then flying home and then my Dad and SM will be staying with us for 2 nights. We would like to get DP. Is there a way to work this out so that mom and SF and Dad and SM don't have to get the plan for the entire 5 nights? (I know I can do a split stay but would prefer not to risk moving). I am wondering if I can just get the DP for the 4 adults and three kids and then just spread out the credits. No flames, please. I am asking b/c I would like to do the "legal" thing, not cheat the system.

I'm not exactly sure I understand the question, but as long as you don't change the names on the ressie half way through the trip, I'm thinking what you propose is possible. As long as the number of people total in the room stays the same, the only issue would be that the second set of people coming in would have to use the KTTW of the ones who are leaving. You would also have to make sure of the accounting on the dining credits. This would work as long as those cards don't have charging priveleges. It's not like you are trying to cheat the system since the number of guests stays the same.

Thanks Diane. Just to confirm - that would only work with the DDP, right...the new people coming at the end of the trip (who are replacing the original two people) would need to get their own park passes, right?

Yes, because the park passes are biometrically connected to the original owner. They would have to get passes just for the number of days they will be there.

If you paln on having them back -or are you waiting until after to decide that-:rotfl2: they can always get non expiring passes they can buy these before hand at a discount through Disney or elsewhere--they can also buy expiring tickets as well if they would like none of the tickets need to connect to the KTTW card.

My advice is to have each couple buy their own park passes. Since one couple is only there 2 days, they aren't getting a great discount even by purchasing early, and I would likely just have them do one park per day. The couple who will be there 3 days might like the hopper option for their tickets, but I would never add non-expiration to either of them since you aren't too sure they will be coming back in the future. Look at this as a "WDW sampler" for them, and don't even attempt to see too much with either group.

Have you considered a studio for the grandparents. Everything would be aboveboard then and you would also all have more privacy.

Maybe your kids could split up at night and have one on one time with your parents or you.

While I think it should be workable, I think your plan is against the rules as I understand them. If I understand correctly you're talking about getting the plan for 2 adults for the trip and rotating the adults in and out. That is not permitted technically but might work out for you if you go outside the rules.

Agree with Diane, it could work.
